Home work 1 Countervailing Duty
Anti Dumping Duty (ADD): It-s non-beneficial in long term, as it reduces the competency of the domestic industry. The Duty imposed on imported products whose cost is less than the domestic production cost of the same product. Such protectionism reduces the competency of the domestic producers and is also a bad sign for International business.
Countervailing Duty (CVD): It's beneficial in long term, as it saves the current businesses and strengthens them against the foreign industry. It's levied on imported products and commodities which are subsidized in originating or Exporting countries.
Safeguard Duty (DSA): Quantitative restrictions, Bilateral safeguards, and Tariff rate quota are the tools of trade defense in Safeguard measures.
